It's difficult to find any large nation in history so perfectly trisected by solar eclipses geographically as the USA is by eclipses on 8-21-2017 , 10-14-2023 and 4-8-2024...over a 2422 day span.
It is certainly the most unusual configuration in such a short time window as the USA has ever experienced in its history.
The eclipses create an obvious letter A over the United States.
A is for Alpha, Alef ( Hebrew), It's an A that is comprised of three lines, two x's.

It's a cross. It's also a Tav, the last letter, the 22nd, of the original Hebrew alphabet. It means truth. In the Greek alphabet, X is the symbol for the letter 'chi. ' Chi (or X) is the first letter in the Greek word for Christ and can stand in for the word "Christ", which is why people can write Happy Xmas. The 8-21-2017 eclipse cut a similar path, though opposite convex to the 1918 eclipse. 97% coverage at Mount Saint Helens. The 2017 eclipse, like the 1918 one, essentially only touched the borders of the USA, and did not touch any other country. ( the 1918 clipped the border of Nassau island). They were the only eclipses in our history to do that.

On February 26th, 1979 a total solar eclipse ( Saros Cycle 120) crossed 5 northwestern states and bisected Canada on its way to ending in Greenland. Totality in Salem, Portland, Olympia, Moses Lake. Of note, Bill Gates and Paul Allen had just relocated Microsoft from Albuquerque to Bellevue Washington in the weeks before the eclipse. Bellevue had 99.64% totality.

Interestingly, totality passed over Mount Saint Helens, which re -awoke with a 4.2 richter scale earthquake March 20 ( Spring Equinox) the following year--Totality at 8:15 a.m.
On May 18th 1980 , 447 days after eclipse - Mount Saint Helens erupted at 8:32 a.m. in a lateral blast directed due north in the direction of Seattle 80 miles away, where the language of the network was being developed at that moment by Gates and Microsoft. Mount Saint Helen's eruption was one of the largest explosions on the planet in the last 500 years.
